MEET THE ARTIST
Kika Georgiou is a Hertfordshire based artist renowned for her distinctive abstract works.
Her unconventional painting technique, which involves using her hands and tools like palette knives and decorating implements instead of a paintbrush, enables her to create depth, texture, and contrast into each of her pieces. By merging this with her love for using custom blended shades and her application of mixed media, she has cultivated a distinctive approach that is recognized for its captivating results.
Kika enjoys creating unique abstract art for home and office interiors. As well producing new artworks to add to her collection, she works on custom art for both private and commercial clients in the UK and overseas.
Her inspiration stems from both from her life experiences and emotions, as well as her surroundings. Painting and art are deeply tied to emotions, so she will encourage viewers to draw their own interpretations when they see her work.
THE CREATIVE PROCESS
Creating abstract art through the continuous layering of paint and mixed media forms the basis for almost all of Kika’s works. The application and manipulation of these mediums over time creates depth and texture from which her unusual contrasts are formed.
There is something intriguing about the way texture produces reflections from different angles. This introduces a new dimension to both the artwork and the surrounding interior space where it’s displayed and a characteristic that Kika integrates into almost all of her works.
Her ability to incorporate hidden or subtle elements into her pieces, each carrying a deeper meaning is truly captivating, prompting clients to often request the inclusion of these hidden details in their artworks.
All of Kika’s works are hand-made originals, and one of a kind, created in her Hertfordshire studio. Framing is available (and optional) on all suitable pieces.

I loved my commissioned piece of art that Kika created for me. The subject of my art, I’d seen Kika create before but the colours weren’t quite right for my living space. We worked together to reach the right colour shading for my piece. The end product was perfect. The colours, the quality, the work that went into it was amazing.
